My name is Lorraine.

My interest in website building began in 2020, when an entrepreneur mentioned the need for a website to support their expanding online membership presence. This conversation happened during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, when lockdowns and social distancing meant most people were confined to their homes. With more free time and keen to help, I saw this as the perfect opportunity to learn a new skill while contributing to the growth of a small business.

I began exploring the fundamentals of website design and development, from selecting the right tools to understanding user experience and optimising functionality for what they required, which was a membership-based website.

As I built the website, I found myself more engaged in the creative and technical aspects of the process. I enjoyed experimenting with layouts, solving problems, and learning how each feature added value to the user journey. The satisfaction of delivering a website that met the entrepreneur’s business needs and helped them grow their online presence was extremely rewarding.

This experience ignited a lasting passion for web design and development, and I have continued to build my skills ever since, constantly exploring new technologies and design trends to create websites that are both functional and impactful.
